What would the web be like without the presence of Ebay? For those who have not joined yet, you will see that Ebay is it's own culture. Ebay connects sellers and buyers from all over the country; all over the entire world. The item that you cannot buy at the local Wal-Mart you can locate on Ebay.

I have been a Ebay user since the beginning of 1998. My very first buy was June 18, 1998. I think I bought a crappy laser pointer or some other overpriced. Yes, I was there when there were little or no fees. It was a time when ebooks and hosting auctions were not available. Ebay has indeed changed. I can recall my first official sale: April 29, 1999, A Mark McGwire Olympic card. At the time, it was hard for me to part that baseball card! But, I needed extra money and sold it for $95. I was excited! (I was 21 at the time). 9 years later, I have a feedback rating of 100% and proud of it! At times, however,it is tough, and sometimes impossible to compete with the huge Powersellers and companies placing their products in any category.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Ebay experience. But, as I said prior, it is definitely hard to compete. I have sold only 27 items since my membership with Ebay began 9 years ago. Maybe I am a bit lazy but at the same time, a bit intimidated. I have tried my hand at ebook and script sales, but you have to sell tons to make money!

The Opportunity

During my journey on "how to make more money online," I came across the Ebay affiliate program. Don't you ever wonder where the selling fees you are paying are going? Well, most of it goes to Ebay and a percentage may go to affiliates.
